Marlboro

I worked on Marlboro for a good chunk of time in Chicago and Frankfurt. It was an absolute blast, I learned a ton and got to do some really bold creative work thanks to some really wonderful client partners and amazing creatives, strategists, account and production humans at Burnett.

Some highlights: Throwing a nationwide party with 50 events in 50 states for the brand’s 50th anniversary all on the same day. One live act per event, and in 5 big cities, stars like Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz performed, and we did a live stream to each of the smaller venues. I remixed all the iconic Marlboro imagery to create an updated visual language, directed photoshoots in the West with herds of horses and real cowboys, founded a music label to promote indie bands along with a new Marlboro blend, made films about a chainsaw carving contest and so, so much more.
